Final Days of English Summer

And so we bid farewell to the long summer days here in England. Whilst I despise the cold and crave that vitamin D during this time of year, I am in fact looking forward to cozying up in front of the fire and enjoying all the festivities of Christmas at the end of the year. I’m also lucky enough to be back off to Australia in January for a month away with my best friend, leaving the coldest month of the year here in the UK behind us in exchange for the hottest month down under!

Pic00001Soon we’ll be swapping those afternoon pub garden chills sipping refreshing G & T’s for comforting glasses of red wine snuggled up watching movies. Winter season also means ultimate comfort food to warm the soul; hearty soups, delicious stews, spicy curries and of course traditional Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.

Pic00002.jpgWith beautiful memories and monumental events including my brother’s wedding and moving home after two years in Australia, the summer of 2019 has certainly been one to remember. So as the early nights draw in and temperatures plummet, I fondly look back on those unforgettable times and look forward to many more awesome times to come… enjoy every season of your life!
